3 Unexpected Ways Brand Design can Transform Your Business

January 20, 2022

It can be hard to decide what to DIY and what to outsource when growing a business. You may find yourself weighing the benefits and thinking about what the return on investment will be. One of the first things I suggest outsourcing is your brand identity. Why? Because if you can’t articulate who you are, what you do, who you serve, and have the visual elements that convey that, your potential audience will have a hard time trusting you. If you’ve researched brand identity services, you can expect to walk away with a brand mission, multiple logos, a color palette, type suite, etc. But today, I want to share some of the unexpected bonuses in how a brand design will transform your business.

01. It saves you valuable time

As business owners, we are always looking for more time! There just aren’t enough hours in the day. After investing in brand identity, you will be equipped with a brand style guide. These are much more in-depth than the one-page PDF you might see on Pinterest that notates your logos, fonts, and color palettes. Not only do you have a color palette, but you know which color combos to use. It gives you a clear direction on how to use your new branding. This is where time is saved! No more time spent second-guessing which font to use or which type of image file will print accurately. All the design-related questions you currently have will be answered for you. You don’t have to also wear the “designer” hat for your business… you are probably already wearing too many hats! You have all the tools, leaving you more time to execute and focus on what you do best.

02. Gain a strengthened business identity

Your business identity is more than your logo. The logo and other visual elements are rooted in strategy so that those visual elements communicate effectively. Your visual brand identity tells the story of your business. To get to what that identity visually looks like, we must first dive into the business. Our process includes a questionnaire that helps us get to know you, your business, and your ideal audience. This discovery process allows our clients to look inward and forward to what they want the future of their business to look like. We get into your services, what makes you stand out, your ideal audience, etc. This reflection brings a lot of clarity for our clients. We transform all your thoughts and dreams into something tangible and guide you on how you show up in the world. You gain a brand personality that intentionally communicates to better articulate and market your business.

03. More confidence

A personally crafted brand identity will make you look and feel more professional. How often do you judge a business by their logo? Having a high-quality logo will instantly give your audience confidence in you and your service. Imagine having a website and promotional material that you are excited to share and promote! This excitement carries into all your collateral pieces, from business cards to proposals so that your operations are business-branded. Being confident in your business and how the world perceives your business will transform how you operate. It eliminates a barrier of hesitation from you that increases your potential.

Brand identity equips you with more time, direction, and confidence. These are all things that growing business owners need more of. How would having a professional brand identity change the way you do business?
